Prior to giving your glass splashbacks a thorough clean, ensure that any grease or fatty deposits are removed using a soft sponge soaked in warm, soapy water. This is because cleaners will smear the grime across the surface of the glass as opposed to rid it of the dirt.

You will then want to obtain decent cleaning materials because many cheaper alternatives can leave fine marks on the glass surface. For the best results, you should use a lint-free cloth. For a streak-free finish, use a damp, non-abrasive cloth with a few drops of methylated spirits. Make sure to dry any residue immediately.

If your glass splashback has an adhesive label stuck on the surface, we recommend using eucalyptus oil on the label and then leaving it to penetrate prior to removal.

When cleaning any glass product, avoid wearing any jewellery as it is likely to scratch the glass. Use a single edge safety blades on tough marks when it won’t budge with regular cleaning.
